Okay so I was doing this poll on Facebook about same sex marriage and this guy wrote.. To straight people who condemn homosexuality, please note the following passages from the bible:

    DEUTERONOMY 22:13-21
If it is discovered that a bride is not a virgin, the Bible demands that she be executed by stoning immediately.

    DEUTERONOMY 22:22
If a married person has sex with someone else’s husband or wife, the Bible commands that both adulterers be stoned to death.

    MARK 10:1-12
Divorce is strictly forbidden in both Testaments, as is remarriage of anyone who has been divorced.

    LEVITICUS 18:19

The Bible forbids a married couple from having sexual intercourse during a woman’s period. If they disobey, both shall be executed.

    MARK 12:18-27
If a man dies childless, his widow is ordered by biblical law to have intercourse with each of his brothers in turn until she bears her deceased husband a male heir.

    DEUTERONOMY 25:11-12
If a man gets into a fight with another man and his wife seeks to rescue her husband by grabbing the enemy’s genitals, her hand shall be cut off.

And I was thinking hmm why not read the bible and find out! So I did and all this verses are TRUE!

It is! Stupid people just use verses that say what they WANT them to say.

Wait, glowinthedarkvagina, are you saying that this is really in the bible, but people are using it out of context to make a point?

    Woah.

I think it’s high time for a rewrite.

People tell me it’s from the rough draft of the bible. Meaning God made a mistake…wait…God is capable of making mistakes? My entire world just turned upside down…

i want to know who told you it was from a rough draft in the Bible, && where they got their information from.. && how they got their information.. &&.. &&

    Rough draft=Old Testament

And the people who usually say that are the people defending in & that’s where they got it from.

No it means when Jesus came, he overrode the laws of the Old Testament. Yeah, it’s still a sin to have an affair, it’s still not cool to lie, but because Jesus came and died for us, we no longer have to worry about getting our hands cut off, or our eyes poked out, because HE PAYED THE ULTIMATE PRICE.

Besides, the Old Testament is now used to show how much God hates the sin. Not the sinner.

It frustrates me when people don’t understand this.

You gotta be careful with this, because there are also things in the old testament that bring order to our lives today.  Consider “do not have sexual relations with your aunt…an animal…” and all those things.  How will you differentiate some parts of the Bible?  I think we need to seek Jesus in this.  One can innovate, but without Christ they cannot innovate themselves.
