I’m really excited about the homie Patrick Stump’s first solo release, this EP “Truant Wave,” featuring me on the song “Big Hype,” for which Max did an amazing string arrangement. It’s an honor to be included in Patrick’s first project and I am confident that the world is going to be surprised and excited by the diversity and musicality of his new material! -D.A.

Hi guys,
Formal album releases take so much time to prepare, I’d like to announce the release of Truant Wave, a digital EP (available on iTunes 2/22) I’ve put together of songs I felt strongly about but didn’t have place for within the narrative of Soul Punk. Having recorded Soul Punk as the sole performer and writer, creating Truant Wave also presented a welcome opportunity for me to work with some of my gifted friends on my solo material. Anyway, I’m psyched on this EP, hope you like it. See you on the road.

Patrick Stump really got skinny.

You—I always wanted you to go on your own and make a soul album!  I think we should be closer than just this “fan/rockstar” relationship. Eh Patrick. [nudges]

  6. Patrick Stump dream.

So last night I had the oddest realistic dream of my week.  I finally got to meet Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy in a cafeteria.  I brought my poster for Patrick to sign and began singing one of his songs my own way.  Then I realized, I’m meeting Patrick Stump.  I better say all that I wanted to say since this might be one time I’ll ever meet him.  And I poured out all my feelings, “You’re my favorite singer and I have had this crush on you since I first heard your voice,” yadadada.

Is this closure?  Do I no longer have a crush on a fantasy man?

How could anyone resist this face?

    Patrick Stump

Have you ever had one of those fantasy dreams of having closure with someone you crushed on?  Not wet dreams! lol

  7. Patrick Stump & The Roots’s “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” (Bobby Womack cover)

    Seriously…Patrick just stepped it up.

Talk about singing SOUL.  I hope he likes Asian girls…like me.
